1. Perfumes
Wear your perfume and let your skin absorb it entirely. Wear your jewelry after that since the ingredients of the perfume may spoil the polish of your jewelry.
2. Hair products
Apply all hair products before putting on jewelry. Do not use them after wearing your jewelry as they may reduce the shine of your jewelry.
3. Bed
Do not go to bed with your jewelry put on. Remove all your jewelry and keep them back into their cases and then go to bed. That way, their durability is maintained.
4. Swimming
Swimming with you jewelry on, is a big no. The chlorine in the pool water damages your jewelry and there are chances that you may miss them in the water.
5. Sunlight
Direct sunlight is an arch enemy of jewelry. Jewelry when exposed for a long time to direct sunlight gets dull and the heat may sometime melt the jewelry.
6. Cars
Do not leave your jewelry in your car. There is no air circulation nor a suitable temperature for the jewelry inside a car. Keep them safe inside your jewelry boxes and leave them in your cupboards when not in use.
7. Soft cloth
Always use a soft cloth to pack jewels made of pearl, gold, silver or any metal and then secure them inside a small cloth pouch or a suitable container. The jewels also have to breathe.
